Coaster mini-bus - (max 22 seats) or Mitsubishi
Rosa mini-bus (max 24 seats) - front facing air-conditioned
vehicle.
We
use our coaches in locations where there are large driving
distances on sealed roads as the larger vehicles provide
greater comfort. In all other circumstances, we focus
on providing a small group experience with an average
maximum group size of 16.

is required as there will be some walking to view places
of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion

ITINERARY:
Pre-tour
overnight dorm (shared facilities) accommodation included
in Darwin
Day
1 - Darwin to Kakadu
You
will be picked up from your pre-tour dorm accommodation.
We view wildlife at the Mary River Wetlands on a crocodile
and wildlife cruise. After lunch, we visit Bowali Visitor
Centre and spend the rest of the afternoon exploring Ubirr
Rock. Overnight camp in Kakadu National Park. (LD)
Day
2 - Kakadu to Darwin
Our first
stop is the awesome Jim Jim Falls located deep within striking
escarpment country, where we walk to the base of the falls.
After lunch, we head to Twin Falls where we join a National
Park operated boat and boardwalk experience up the stunning
gorge to the waterfall where you can relax on the sandy bank,
before travelling back to Darwin. Overnight dorm accommodation

Day
3 - Darwin to Katherine Gorge
After
a refreshment break at Adelaide River we head to Katherine,
home to the majestic Katherine (Nitmiluk) Gorge situated in
the Nitmiluk National Park where we spend the entire afternoon
either canoeing or cruising (at own
expense) the striking gorge. Dinner and overnight stay
is at our permanent camp near Katherine Gorge. (LD)
Day
4 - Katherine Gorge to Tennant Creek
A short
distance south, relax in a crystal clear thermal pool surrounded
by lush tropical forest at Mataranka. Next we visit the famous
outback pub at Daly Waters, the oldest in the Northern Territory
and first international airport in Australia After lunch,
we travel south to Tennant Creek for our overnight camp at
Juno Horse Farm. (BLD)
Day
5 - Tennant Creek to Alice Springs
This
morning we check out the Devils Marbles; precariously balanced
granite boulders sacred to the traditional owners' then stop
in at the Barrow Creek Pub to view the historic Telegraph
Station. A little further down the 'track' we take a break
at Ti Tree, for an opportunity to purchase authentic Aboriginal
art. We then cross the Tropic of Capricorn and arrive into
Alice Springs late in the afternoon. Overnight dorm accommodation

Day
6 - Alice Springs to Kings Canyon & Uluru
We journey
to Kings Canyon where we explore the spectacular North and
South Walls, the 'Amphitheatre', 'Lost City' and the 'Garden
of Eden'. (In summer, walks may be shortened due to extreme
temperatures). After lunch, we travel on to Uluru (Ayers Rock)
for our overnight stay in our private campsite. (LD)
Day
7 - Uluru to Alice Springs
It's
an early start for one of the highlights of the tour - the
Uluru sunrise. Enjoy a walk around the base exploring the
mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites while
watching the changing light on the desert or you can choose
to climb Uluru. We visit the red domes of Kata Tjuta (the
Olgas) and learn about the significance of this spiritual
place. After lunch, we depart for Alice Springs viewing the
rugged desert scenery along the way. (BL)
(Passengers may leave the tour at Ayers
Rock Resort-note time may vary-please advise us of your departure
flight details and times.)

* This
package is made up of 3 individual tours; therefore you may
travel with a different guide and passengers during each section.
* Itinerary may vary and / or attractions substituted due
to seasonal conditions, Traditional Owner & National Park
requirements.
* Twin Falls boat transfer fee of $12.50, Uluru park fee of
$25 and fuel levy of $15 are payable on morning of departure.
* Luggage limit to a backpack of max 15kgs and a daypack.
* Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4pm the day before travel.
* Southbound tours do not visit Edith Falls - only Northbound
