Itinerary
Day
1 - Launceston to Bicheno
St Columbus Falls, with its ancient rainforest back drop is
our first stop today. Continuing through the changing landscape
of heritage farms, rainforest and mining towns we spend the
afternoon at the breathtaking Bay of Fires. Here you can take
a stroll along the gleaming white sands or a swim in the clear
turquoise water (weather permitting). Tonight we stay at in
the seaside township of Bicheno. After dinner, you
can choose to take a tour to see little penguins nesting (at
own expense). (LD)
Day 2 - Bicheno to Pt Arthur
This morning we drive into the stunning Freycinet National
Park for sweeping views over Wineglass Bay. You may
choose to hike to Wineglass Beach via the lookout or for those
more adventurous; a hike to the top of Mount Amos.
Enjoy the view as we travel along the picturesque Tasman Peninsula
to Port Arthur, where we stay tonight. Take a spine
chilling Port Arthur Ghost Tour for a glimpse into the historic
past of this penal colony (at own expense). (BLD)
Day
3 - Pt Arthur to Hobart
We'll spend this morning exploring the infamous Port Arthur
Historic Site and take a boat cruise around the harbour. Next,
we visit Remarkable Cave and a range of other sites on the Tasman
Peninsula as we travel on to Hobart. (BL) Overnight accommodation
included.
Day
4 - Hobart & surrounds
Spend a day at leisure enjoying the sights of Hobart.
Some recommended activities are: Derwent River Cruise on the
historical square rigger 'Lady Nelson', a tour of the Cascade
Brewery or the Cadbury Chocolate Factory (only week days),
half day bike hire, a visit to 'Antarctic Adventure' or a
trip up Mt Wellington. (All meals and activities are subject
to availability and at own expense). Overnight accommodation
included.
Day 5 - Hobart to Strahan
First
we travel to Mount Field National Park, where we stretch our
legs on the Russell Falls and Tall Trees walks. We continue
on to Lake St Clair for a view of Australia's deepest lake.
On our way to Strahan we hike and explore the Franklin Gordon
National Park. We spend tonight in our own exclusive accommodation
in the historic coastal township of Strahan where your guide
will fill you in on the amazing history of 'pining, mining
and convicts'!. (LD)
Day
6 - Strahan to Cradle Mountain Region
This morning we enjoy the intriguing history of Strahan
with options to suit everyone! Take a stroll or a bike
ride (free) along the foreshore or up the Water Tower Hill
for a priceless lookout over Macquarie Harbour and Ocean Beach;
walk through a rainforest to Hogarth Falls (if you're quiet
and lucky you may even spot a platypus); Later, we take a
walk through the Henty Sand Dunes, where you can even take
a quad bike tour (at own expense). In the afternoon we visit
the historic 'Silver City' of Zeehan and then continue to
our overnight lodge accommodation. (BLD)
Day 7 - Cradle Mountain to Devonport
Today we discover the World Heritage Cradle
Mountain National Park. Enjoy the pure air with a stunning
walk around Dove Lake, or challenge yourself with a
more strenuous hike (unguided) to view Cradle Mountain. We
spend this afternoon exploring more of the state's mid north
before our arrival in Devonport. (BL)
Day 8 - Devonport to Launceston
It's a short journey through farming country
to Launceston where your adventure with us ends.

Note:
All tours are accommodated and we offer HOSTEL (dorm or twin/dbl
with shared facilities) or ensuite MOTEL/LODGE style (2-3
star ensuite). All twin/double rooms are subject to availability
at time of booking. Motel/Lodge style may be located on different
premises to hostel accommodation.
Meals are prepared and eaten as a group under the guides'
supervision. For breakfast we supply cereals/toast, lunches
are picnic style and dinner is BBQ style. Passengers prepare
evening meals at the hostel, any upgrade passengers will then
transfer to their accommodation for the evening.
N" National park fees of $36 per person are
payable on departure.
Itineraries may vary and/or attractions be
substituted due to seasonal conditions, weather extremes,
Traditional Owner and national park requirements.
Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4pm the day before travel direct
