Suitability:
Level 2 fitness  © Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 6-8kms per day. A reasonable level of fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion for bushwalking and exploring.
Staying:
Semi permanent camp tent  © Semi-Permanent Campsites - tents must be erected by guide and passengers, share showers and toilets, shared cooking facilities except those carried on the vehicle. Red Centre Outback Safaris stay at campgrounds at Yulara and Kings Canyon, so have access to shower/toilet facilities. We use Dome tents.

Red Centre: 'Sleep under the stars' in an Aussie bedroll (swag). Passengers supplied with these original Australian bushman's swags. Pop-up tents available on request at an extra cost.

Sleeping Bags can be hired at time of booking for $20 for the tour per person.

Tour ticket, Sturdy walking shoes (ankle high), hat & sunscreen, towel & toiletries, warm clothing in winter, water bottle, torch, insect repellent/net, camera, pillow, sleeping bag (can be hired for $20)

Day 1 - Alice Springs to Uluru
Experience a camel ride at the Outback Camel Farm (own expense) before cruising down to our camp near Uluru (Ayers Rock), arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon we hike through the 'Valley of the Winds' at Kata Tjuta (Olgas) before watching the sunset over Uluru. After an outdoor dinner, star gaze from the comfort of your 'swag' (or dome tent).
(LD) Note: Lunch is not included for passengers joining the tour at Yulara.

Day 2 - Uluru to Kings Canyon
Witness the magical Uluru sunrise then take an unguided base walk around Uluru. Learn about Aboriginal culture on an interpretive walk and visit the Cultural Centre before driving to Kings Canyon. We stay tonight at our campsite near Kings Canyon.

Day 3 - Kings Canyon to Alice Springs
Spend the morning hiking and climbing Kings Canyon, exploring the 'Amphitheatre', breathtaking North & South Walls and 'Garden of Eden'. There's time to check out the view from above, you may wish to take a helicopter flight over the spectacular Canyon (at own expense). After lunch, we make our way back to Alice Springs. (BL).

Note:
All camping equipment is included except sleeping bags, which can be hired for A$20.
Tour may commence in either Alice Springs or Ayers Rock, however, must finish in Alice Springs.
• On Request Only: * Flight must arrive before 1:20pm to connect with Yulara Airport Shuttle to Desert Gardens Hotel
Itinerary may vary and/or attractions be substituted due to seasonal conditions, weather extremes, Tradtional owner and national park requirements.
• The above program should only be used as a guideline and tour guides may change programs at their discretion to suit the specific interests of their group.
• Safaris must be reconfirmed by 4pm the day before travel direct with the tour operator.
